Create and maintain a defensible space around your house

Harden your home against falling embers

Set: Planning

Have ready an emergency kit with important documents, medications, etc.

Know your destination and your evacuation routes

Optional: get training and develop a plan to shelter in place

Go: What to do in case of fire

If you have not been notified, call 911 and the gate (808) 880-1088‬ and check on neighbors

Close windows and doors, move flammable items (incl. curtains) away from walls and windows

Open your property gates, position your car to leave

Collect your pets, grab your evacuation kit, and evacuate early to be safe

Optional: shelter in place (at your own risk) and offer to help, but evacuate if ordered to do so by the authorities
